Shimla:

Rajat Thakur, State BJP Working Committee member, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for approving funds for road development in the Dharmapur assembly constituency. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) Phase–4, four key roads will be constructed in Dharmapur at an estimated cost of Rs 14.46 crore, bringing direct benefits to the rural population of the region.

Addressing the public, Thakur highlighted that the new roads will strengthen connectivity to remote villages, ensure smooth travel, and provide significant relief to farmers, students, and traders. He noted that long-pending demands for road construction were prioritized by the central government, reflecting Prime Minister Modi’s development-focused vision.

Thakur said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the central government is committed to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,’ ensuring that basic facilities reach every corner of the country. The funds approved for Dharmapur represent a major step toward the holistic development of the region.”

He further emphasized the role of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, stating that under his able guidance, road infrastructure across the country has reached new heights. The expansion of paved roads to villages not only reduces travel distances but also boosts economic activities.

Local residents, including Anil Kumar, Bhim Singh, Bablu Ram, and Shyam Singh, expressed their happiness over the announcement, noting that the construction of these roads will facilitate better access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. They extended their gratitude to the central government and expressed hope for further development initiatives in Dharmapur in the future.

Concluding his remarks, Thakur said, “‘Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai’ is not just a slogan—it is visible development on the ground.”
