Abhilashi University Organises Value-Based Student Activities Inspired by Swami Vivekananda.

Abhilashi University, in collaboration with Swadeshi Jagran Manch, organised an academic and cultural programme aimed at promoting value-based education and youth empowerment inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 100 students who took part in a series of competitions including Poster Making, Declamation, Rangoli, and Patriotic Song presentations. The campus came alive with vibrant colours, creative expressions, and intellectually stimulating discussions as students showcased their artistic talent, confidence, and national pride. More than 1,000 students and faculty members attended the programme, making it a grand and engaging academic gathering.

The initiative was designed to encourage students to articulate their ideas, enhance communication skills, and reflect upon the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in contemporary life. The programme aimed to connect youth with India’s rich cultural heritage while fostering character building, self-belief, discipline, and responsible citizenship.

Prof. Anupama Singh, Former Pro Vice-Chancellor of SPU Mandi, addressed the gathering and remarked that Swami Vivekananda’s life continues to offer valuable guidance to young minds. She urged students to cultivate discipline, confidence, and positive thinking, emphasizing that education should focus on holistic personality development. She lauded the university for creating platforms that nurture talent and provide opportunities for intellectual and creative growth.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. H.K. Chaudhary shared that studying the life and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda had significantly influenced his own personal development. He encouraged students to remain dedicated to their goals, prioritise mental well-being, practise meditation, and maintain a healthy balance between academics and personal growth. He congratulated the organisers and appreciated the spirited participation of students.

Winners of various competitions were awarded prizes and certificates, motivating them to continue engaging in creative and intellectual pursuits.

The university administration, including Chancellor Dr. R.K. Abhilashi, Pro-Chancellor Dr. L.K. Abhilashi, Vice-Chancellor Prof. H.K. Chaudhary, Dean Academic Dr. S.K. Shukla, Registrar Dr. Kapil Kapoor, Dr. Narbada Abhilashi (Chairperson, GES), Dr. Promila Abhilashi (Vice-Chairperson, AES), and Secretary Narender Kumar, acknowledged the valuable support of Swadeshi Jagran Manch. They also appreciated the dedicated efforts of faculty members and the enthusiastic participation of students in making the programme a grand success.

The event concluded on a note of inspiration and renewed commitment to value-based education, reinforcing the university’s vision of nurturing socially responsible and ethically grounded citizens.
