Government Firm Commits to Timely Completion of Rs. 1923 Crore Bulk Drug Park: Chief Minister.

In a recent development, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired a high-level meeting today to oversee the progress of the Bulk Drug Park project in the Haroli assembly segment of Una district. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to the project, he announced additional funding to expedite its completion.
With an estimated cost of Rs. 1923 crore, the Bulk Drug Park will occupy 570 hectares of land. The State Government, alongside support from the Government of India, aims to facilitate the timely establishment of this crucial infrastructure.
The project encompasses various facilities including a common effluent treatment plant, solid waste management unit, stormwater drain network, solvent storage and recovery facility, steam generation plant, advanced laboratory testing center, emergency response unit, and hazardous operations audit center. Additionally, infrastructure such as pathways, canteen, fire station, and administrative block will be constructed, with site development works underway.
Chief Minister Sukhu instructed the industries department to streamline the tender process and overcome any obstacles to ensure the project’s swift implementation. Highlighting its significance, he underscored the Bulk Drug Park’s role in revenue generation and job creation for the youth.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan, and Education Minister Rohit Thakur, among others, contributed valuable insights to enhance the project’s viability and industry-friendliness.
Present at the meeting were MLA Dharampur Chander Shekhar, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Principal Secretaries R.D. Nazeem and Devesh Kumar, along with other officials including Gopal Sharma, Rakesh Kanwar, Anil Kapil, Rakesh Prajapati, and Tilak Raj Sharma.
The government’s firm commitment to the Bulk Drug Park project underscores its dedication to bolstering industrial infrastructure and fostering economic growth in the state.
