In a significant step toward enhancing infrastructure development in Himachal Pradesh, PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh met with Telangana Chief Minister Revant Reddy today in Hyderabad to explore knowledge-sharing and collaboration on advanced infrastructure projects. The meeting focused on improving all-weather connectivity, ensuring safer travel, and promoting sustainable development through innovative tunneling technologies and green construction practices.

Minister Singh highlighted the state government’s ongoing efforts to develop a multi-tunnel network across Himachal Pradesh under the guidance of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). These initiatives aim to reduce travel time, cut fuel consumption, and connect challenging terrains, providing year-round, safe mobility to residents and tourists alike.

During the discussions, CM Revant Reddy proposed that Himachal Pradesh send selected officials to Telangana to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge construction technologies, advanced project management systems, and state-of-the-art training programs. Such exposure would enable the officials to implement best practices in Himachal Pradesh, fostering smarter, safer, and environmentally sustainable infrastructure in the state.

Minister Singh emphasized that this inter-state collaboration will not only strengthen institutional partnerships but also accelerate the development of modern highways, tunnels, and related infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh.

The meeting was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav and Minister Singh’s spouse, Dr. Amreen Kaur, whose presence added a cordial and dignified touch to the discussions.

The dialogue reflects Himachal Pradesh’s continued commitment to leveraging advanced engineering solutions and cross-state learning to enhance connectivity and promote inclusive, sustainable growth in the mountainous state.
