CM Sukhu Orders Clearance of All Contractor Dues by April 30.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed the Finance Department to clear all pending payments of contractors associated with the Public Works Department (PWD), Jal Shakti Vibhag, and other departments by 30th April 2025.

Chairing a review meeting of the Finance Department, CM Sukhu emphasized the importance of timely payments to ensure smooth execution of development works. He also instructed officials to settle outstanding bills under the Himcare Scheme for institutions like IGMC Shimla, PGI Chandigarh, and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda.

In addition, the Chief Minister directed early release of pending installments to beneficiaries of the Sahara Scheme, which provides financial support to the chronically ill.

CM Sukhu noted that the state’s financial condition is steadily improving, crediting the government’s practical and timely fiscal strategies for the positive change.

Principal Secretary (Finance) Devesh Kumar and Special Secretary (Finance) Saurabh Jassal were also present during the meeting.
