Bharatiya Janata Party Chief Spokesperson and MLA from Sundernagar Rakesh Jamwal, while addressing a press conference in Mandi on Tuesday, described the Union Budget presented by the Central Government as a historic and people-oriented budget dedicated to the welfare of the poor, youth, farmers, women, and the middle class. He said the budget is not merely a document of figures, but a clear roadmap to realize the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat on the ground.

Rakesh Jamwal stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has framed this budget with an inclusive approach, ensuring that every section of society progresses together. Emphasis has been laid on strengthening the economy while uplifting the poor, farmers, youth, and women. He added that India’s economy is moving forward rapidly on the global stage, and this budget further reinforces confidence in the country’s growth trajectory.

Highlighting relief provided to the middle class, the BJP spokesperson said that income tax concessions would enhance the purchasing power of ordinary families, boost market demand, and generate new employment opportunities. The budget clearly reflects the Central Government’s seriousness towards both the present needs and future security of common citizens.

Speaking on farmers’ issues, Rakesh Jamwal said the provisions made for the agriculture sector are significant steps toward increasing farmers’ income and connecting them with modern technology. Focus on natural farming, agricultural infrastructure, and rural development shows that the government considers villages and farmers as the backbone of national progress.

On women empowerment, he said the budget’s provisions would promote women-led development. Through self-help groups, startups, and skill development schemes, this budget would prove to be a milestone in making women economically self-reliant.

Addressing youth-centric initiatives, Rakesh Jambal stated that special focus on education, skill development, startups, and employment generation clearly shows that the government considers youth as the future of the nation. Provisions related to Digital India, artificial intelligence, and innovation will prepare young Indians for global competition.

During the press conference, Rakesh Jamwal strongly criticized the Congress party, stating that its history is limited to hollow promises and misleading manifestos. He said whenever Congress was in power, the country’s economy weakened, yet today the same party is questioning this budget, which reflects its political frustration and lack of direction.

He also targeted the Himachal Pradesh Congress government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, stating that while the Central Government is providing record budgets for development, the state government has failed to conduct Panchayati Raj elections and is unable to provide basic facilities to the people. Instead of utilizing resources received with the support of the Centre, the state government is indulging only in blame politics.

Concluding his address, Rakesh Jamwal said that this budget truly reflects the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas. He expressed confidence that through this budget, India will not only become economically stronger but will also set an example of social justice and inclusive development.

Present on the occasion were BJP District President Nihal, Media In-charge Rakesh Walia, Municipal Corporation Mayor Virender Bhatt, State Working Committee Member Ranveer Sen, and State Co-Convener of Panchayati Raj Pal.
