Shimla:

A joint meeting of office bearers from the Nerchowk and Balh mandals under the Balh Assembly constituency of Mandi district was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party at Parmar Palace in Nerchowk. The meeting was attended by the party’s State Organization General Secretary, Sidharthan, who provided guidance to party functionaries and emphasized further strengthening the organization at all levels.

The session commenced with a formal welcome of the dignitaries by the mandal presidents. District In-charge Baldev Bhandari briefed attendees about the organizational activities being carried out at the mandal level. District President Nihal Chand Sharma, addressing the gathering, stated that the BJP holds a strong position in Mandi district and reiterated the party’s commitment to further consolidating its base in the coming days.

Balh MLA Inder Singh Gandhi said that the BJP’s victory in the Balh Assembly constituency for the second consecutive term reflects the dedication and hard work of party workers. He credited the cadre’s commitment for his electoral success and noted that several developmental projects in the constituency were initiated during the tenure of former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

Gandhi alleged that under the current government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the region is grappling with serious issues related to electricity, water supply, and healthcare services. He claimed that the electricity division established in Nerchowk had been shut down by the present administration. He further alleged attempts to weaken the Nerchowk Medical College and accused the Congress-led government of neglecting regional development.

In his address, Sidharthan urged party workers to ensure greater organizational strength down to the booth level and to actively prepare for upcoming programs and campaigns.

Among those present at the meeting were State General Secretary Payal Vaidya, State Secretary Priyanka Sharma, District In-charge Baldev Bhandari, Mandal Presidents Rajender Rana and Kuldeep, District General Secretaries Manchali and Karan, Dr. Vandana Jaggi, Pal Verma, Rakesh Walia, along with other office bearers from both mandals.
