BJP MLA Rakesh Jamwal Accuses PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh of Misleading the Public with False Inaugurations.

Shimla:

BJP’s Chief Spokesperson and MLA from Sundernagar in Mandi district, Rakesh Jamwal, launched a scathing attack on Himachal Pradesh’s PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, accusing him of misleading the public by taking credit for works completed under the previous BJP government. Jamwal claimed that the minister was engaging in a  “political stunt” by inaugurating and re-inaugurating projects that were already completed, only to garner false praise.

During a state-level Devta Mela, Jamwal expressed concern over what he described as Vikramaditya Singh’s attempt to hijack the development work carried out by the BJP government. “The PWD Minister is attempting to take credit for central government schemes, while the reality on the ground is that the Congress government has failed to deliver any significant development,” Jamwal said.

Jamwal called the minister’s recent visit to Sundernagar a “political circus,” where he re-inaugurated a park that had already been completed and laid the foundation for the construction of a building that had been under progress for six months. “The PWD minister is resorting to petty politics by sidelining the local BJP representatives and working with agents of Congress to push his own agenda,” he added.

Criticizing Vikramaditya Singh’s actions, Jamwal demanded that the minister prove his worth by delivering new projects and not by taking credit for BJP’s work. He also questioned Singh’s track record, asking if he could name any major project approved by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu during his tenure.

“The Congress government has not allocated any funds for new development works. The truth is that the PWD Minister is trying to portray himself as a development hero by putting his name on projects initiated by the BJP,” Jamwal said.

He concluded by stating that the public was well aware of Congress’s “political theatrics” and warned that the people of Himachal Pradesh would expose these lies in the 2027 elections. “The real meaning of development is hard work and integrity, not attaching one’s name to others’ efforts,” Jamwal said, expressing confidence that the BJP would reclaim power and hold the Congress government accountable.
